From March 1954, he served as a Craftsman in Canada with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, leaving the service in February 1957. Athol married and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. VILLERUP, Jack Marinus WWI Jack was born in England in 1890. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served as a Private with the Canadian Infantry’s “A” Saskatchewan Unit in Canada, the United Kingdom and Western Europe. He married his war bride and lived in the Valley Plain District. VOUTOUR, John Henry PEACEKEEPING John was born in New Brunswick in 1953 and he joined the Forces after completing high school. He did his basic training in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia then was sent to serve with the 2nd Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Winnipeg. He did two tours for the United Nations and a tour in Europe at Baden Baden in Germany with 3 Mec. Commando. John married a woman from Carlyle, Saskatchewan in 1974 and has two daughters. When he returned to Canada, he remustered to Construction Engineers as an electrician. John took his release in 1982 and received the Canadian Peacekeeping Medal, two UN medals, the Special Service Medal with the NATO Bar and the Canadian Forces Decoration for years of service. John has been a member of Carlyle Legion Branch 248 for thirteen years.
