The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 399 TUNNINGLEY, James WWII James was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1909. He joined the Loyal Edmonton Regiment and served in Canada, England, Sicily, Italy, and Holland from 1942-1945. He married and had three children. James passed away in 1999 and is buried in Burnaby, British Columbia. TUNNINGLEY, Joseph H. WWII Joseph was born in Wimmer, Saskatchewan in 1911. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served as a Gunner in the Artillery for six years in Canada, England, France, Holland, and Japan. He married and had 3 children. Joseph died in 1982 and is buried in the Kamloops Hillside Cemetery in British Columbia. VAN der AUWERA, Paul Joseph PEACETIME Paul was born on December 15, 1955 in Brussels, Belgium. He served with NATO Forces in Germany as well as with the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery in Halifax. Since leaving the service, he has worked as a truck driver, got married and separated. Active in The Legion, Paul has received the 60th Anniversary Medal, the Executive Committee Medal and the District Service Officer Medal.
