The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 397 TUNINGLEY, Robert Fredrick WWI Robert was born in 1897 in England and came to Canada in 1905 and Quill Lake in 1909. He joined the Royal Canadian Infantry Corps and served with the 45th Battalion in Canada, England and France where Private Tuningley was wounded and then discharged. He married and had one son. Robert died in 1941 and is buried in Silver Creek, Manitoba. TUNINGLEY, Robert George WWI Robert was born in England in 1873 and came to Canada in 1905 and Quill Lake in 1909. He joined the Canadian Army and served with the 8th and 5th Battalions in Canada and France where Private Tuningley was wounded as a result of poison gas. Robert married and had 11 children. He died in 1957 and is buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Burnaby, British Columbia. TUNNICLIFFE, Raymond H. “Ray” WWII Ray was born in England on July 8, 1923. He enlisted in Regina in October 1942 and served with the 5th Medium Regiment Artillery in Italy and Northwest Europe. He left the service in Regina in June 1946 as Sergeant. After the war, he worked in the purchasing department of Bowman Brothers Auto Supplies and then as purchasing agent for Allan Potash Mine. Ray married but was widowed after two sons and a daughter.
