The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 395 TROVILLO, Frank Leroy WWII Frank was born in Netherhill, Saskatchewan on December 3, 1918. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and received his Wings at #7, McLeod in Alberta. He was posted to England on June 6, 1941, and to Egypt in February 1942. He flew a fast medium bomber, had his own crew and was then posted to Algeria with the rank of Warrant Officer 1, flying a Marauder FK 371. On April 25, 1943, he was reported missing over the Tyrrhenian Sea off the coast of Italy and he was officially presumed dead on February 12, 1944. Trovillo Lake in northern Saskatchewan was named in his honour on May 3, 1956. Frank was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Africa Star with North Africa 1942-43 Clasp, the Defence Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45. TRUMBLEY, R. J. WWII R. J. Trumbley was born on October 9, 1917 in Findlater, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on July 19, 1942 and served in Canada during WWII. Leading Aircraftman Trumbley left the service on October 20, 1945. He married and became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. TUNINGLEY, Albert WWII Albert was born in 1907 in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served as a Sergeant with #2 Drilling Company in Canada, England, France, Gibraltar and Holland. After six years in the Army, he was discharged, married and had two children. He moved to British Columbia where he died in 2003. Albert is buried in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia.
