He joined the Canadian Army and served with the 14th Canadian Hussars in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany from 1941-1945. James, a farmer and grain buyer, married and raised 4 children. He was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for forty-two years before he died in 1988. James is buried in Wadena Cemetery. TAYLOR, George W. WWII George was born in Wales on October 20, 1923. He joined the Britain Army and served in the Royal Armoured Corps in Northwest Europe, Southeast Asia and Burma. Warrant Officer Taylor left the service in November 1946. He married and became a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. TELFORD, Terry PEACETIME Terry was born in 1937 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served for 5 years on HMCS Assiniboine, Stadacona, and Granby in the North Atlantic. Married with 3 children, Terry was a storekeeper for a number of years. He was also a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for eight years.
