The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 325 ROUSELL, Orval Sydney WWII Orval was born in 1922 in Asquith, Saskatchewan. He trained in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and Camp Shilo, Manitoba before going overseas in 1943 with the 2nd Division of the Saskatoon Light Infantry. He was in France on D-Day but Orval was killed in action in Holland in 1944. He was buried in the Canadian Military Cemetery in Holland. Orval has a lake named after him in Northern Saskatchewan. ROWE, George WWII George was born in Chamberlain, Saskatchewan in 1914. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as an airframe mechanic and driver in Canada from 1941-1945. He married and was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 and the Penticton Legion Branch 040 for a total of twenty-nine years. George died in 1975 and is buried in the Penticton Military Cemetery in British Columbia. ROWE, Wilbur WWI Wilbur was born in 1886 in England. He joined the Saskatchewan Regiment and served with the 214th Battalion in Canada, England, France, and Belgium during World War I. Private Rowe was wounded on the march to Germany after the Armistice was signed. He died of his wounds on January 25, 1919 and is buried in Brussels Town Cemetery.
