The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 313 REID, John KOREA & PEACETIME John was born on May 14, 1932 in Brandon and he joined the Army on April 12, 1952. John served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Canada and Korea. Private Reid left the service on April 14, 1955. John married and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. RENDALL, Walter “Wally” PEACETIME Wally was born on September 13, 1924 in Canora, Saskatchewan. From 1958 to 1963, he served in the 53rd Field Regiment Artillery (RCA), reserve army unit, in Kamsack where he attended Camp Shilo and Camp Dundurn for training. Wally married, had three sons and two daughters, and worked for the Saskatchewan Liquor Board for 33 years before retiring in 1987. He was also an umpire for softball, fast pitch and slow pitch. Wally has been a member of The Legion for 33 years where he has helped with poppy sales and calling Bingo for the Wednesday night games. RICHARDS, J. N. WWII & PEACETIME J. N. Richards was born on May 21, 1916 in Wales. He joined the Army on July 3, 1933 and served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe with the 33rd Reconnaissance Regiment. Corporal Richards left the service on April 29, 1946. He married and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362.
