The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 279 OTTEY, Paul W. PEACETIME Paul was born on November 21, 1958 in Banbury, England. He enlisted on December 11, 1975 in the British Army and served in the Royal Corps of Transport in the BAOR (British Army of Occupation of the Rhine), Northern Ireland, England and Canada. Paul left the service on April 15, 1980. He married and has been a member of Nutana Legion Branch 362. PACZAY, Theodore WWII Theodore was born in Sharondale, Kentucky in 1918. He joined the Army and served in Canada with the Regina Rifles and Edmonton Fusiliers. He was also a small arms instructor, a combat trainer, and he traveled to bases across Canada to teach. He continued to farm after discharge. Theodore was a member of Paddockwood Legion Branch 31 for thirty-five years and he passed away in 2002. PALMER, Godfrey BOER WAR Godfrey was born in England in 1882 and came to the Gardenia District of Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1907. He married Jeanie Bayne and they had 2 children. Godfrey served as a Trooper for two years with the British Army’s 2nd Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa between 1900 and 1902 when he was discharged in Aldershot, England. He died on December 14, 1972 and is buried in the Quill Lake Cemetery.
