O’BRIEN, Robert “Bob” WWII Bob was born on the O’Brien homestead south of Riverhurst, Saskatchewan on March 22, 1919. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and was stationed in Saskatoon with #4 Service Flying Training School. He was then sent to England where he served with Squadrons 405 and 426 and met his wife Mary. Discharged in November 1945, he and Mary farmed west of Gilroy and raised four children. Bob was a very active member of Riverhurst Legion Branch 335 for forty-seven years before he passed away on October 22, 1993.
