He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with Bomber Command in Canada and England. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross from King George VI. Joseph married and had 2 children. He died in 2005. MORTON, Ted WWII Ted was born in Wimmer, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Sergeant with the North Atlantic Squadron doing convoy and escort duty as well as submarine patrol in Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador. Ted married, had 4 children, and is retired and living in Saskatoon. Ted has been a member of Melfort Legion Branch 30 for a number of years. MORTON, Thomas A. WWII Thomas was born in Wimmer, Saskatchewan in 1920. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Flight Sergeant for four years with 160 Bomber-Reconnaissance Squadron in Canada and Newfoundland. He did convoy duty and submarine patrol in the North Atlantic. Thomas married, had one child, and was an agent for Massey-Harris machinery. Thomas resides in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan and has been a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for sixty-five years. He has received his Legion Life Membership.
