For three years during WWII, she was a Leading WREN with the Women’s Royal Canadian Naval Service in Canada and England. She served on HMCS Stadacona of Halifax, HMCS Nobe of London, England, and the Peregrine and Chippewa. She also worked as a paymaster in England. Margaret married, had four children, farmed and was a schoolteacher. Margaret was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for sixty years before she died in 2006. She is buried in Quill Lake Cemetery. INGRAM, Ronald H. WWII Ronald was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1919. For five years, he served in the Army with the Tank Corps, the 17th Duke of York Light Infantry, and the 2nd Survey Regiment in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. He was a farmer and a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for forty-eight years before he died in 1994. He is buried in Quill Lake Cemetery. ISAAC, Thomas WWII Thomas was born in 1904 in Langham, England. He came to Asquith in 1922, worked in the area, and married Ella Paulson in 1936. They had three children. Thomas joined the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and served during WWII. He returned to Saskatoon after the war and worked for Blanchard’s Foundry and Saskatchewan Power Corporation until his death in 1966.
