He served as a Private in England and Western Europe during World War I and during World War II, was a guard at Prisoner of War camps in Suffield, Alberta. He was married to Rose but they had no children. William has passed away and is buried in Medicine Hat, Alberta. HEASMAN, Howard Douglas WWII Howard was born in Moosomin, Saskatchewan in 1945. He joined the Royal Canadian Army in October 1961 and went to Dundurn for six summer camps. In 1966, he joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and worked at the Vernon Army Cadet Camp for the summer of 1968. During the winter, he was a trainer in Regina on Saturdays. Lance Corporal Heasman left the Militia in October 1970. He has been a member of Lumsden Legion Branch 234 for sixteen years. HENDERSON, Alexander Neil WWII Alexander was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on October 6, 1918. He joined the Army and served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during WWII. He was awarded the France and Germany Star, the 1939-45 Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He was a member of Paddockwood Legion Branch 31 before he passed away on July 1, 2003.
