She was a Nursing Sister serving as a 2nd Lieutenant with 13 DOCA in Canada during World War II. She never married. Kari passed away in 1998 and is buried in Scrip Ponass Lake Cemetery, north of Clair. HAUGRUD, Olav WWII Olav was born in Clair, Saskatchewan in 1921 and came to Quill Lake in 1931. He joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps and served as a Private in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany from 1942-1946. Olav married and had seven children. HAWRYLUK, Morris WWII Morris was born in Manitoba in 1916 and came to Quill Lake in 1931. He joined the Army and served with the 48th Light AntiAircraft Battery in Canada from 1942-1946. He was a farmer who never married. Morris died in 1987 and is buried in Wadena Cemetery in Saskatchewan.
