The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 141 GRAHAM, Thomas Cleve WWII Thomas was born in Saskatoon in 1917 but took all his schooling in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Postal Corps and served as a Corporal in Canada and the Aleutians. He married, had six children, was a grain buyer and owned a store in Resource, Saskatchewan. He was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 and Melfort Legion Branch 30 for a total of forty years before he died in 1992. Thomas is buried in Saskatchewan’s Melfort Cemetery. GRIMM, Oscar WWI Oscar was born in Minnesota, USA in 1895 and came to live at Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1927. He served in the United States Army for about a year and a half during World War I. Private 1st Class Grimm served in the 62nd Coast Artillery Corps, Battery B, in France from December 1917 to March 1919. He married Dorothy Howlett and had two children. Oscar on May 12, 1967 and is buried in Quill Lake Cemetery. GRYBA, Charles H. WWII Charles was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1920. Corporal Gryba served as a fitter with the Engineers, serving in Canada, England, France, Belgium, and Holland during WWII. He farmed at Quill Lake and Invermay, married and had three children before retiring to Thompson, Manitoba. Charles was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 and Invermay Legion Branch 94 for about thirty years before he died in 1974. He was buried in Quill Lake Cemetery.
