The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 137 GOLLINGS, John Robert BOER WAR John was born in Ireland in March of 1881 and came to Canada to live in Saskatchewan’s Clair District in 1905. He served in the British Army during the Boer War in South Africa. He married Allison Chalmers and they had one son. John died in 1967 and is buried in the Clair Cemetery. GONDA, Milan SPECIAL DUTY AREA Milan was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1988. He joined the Army and served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Canada and Afghanistan. Milan worked in communications while stationed at Kandahar where he was also promoted to Corporal. GRAHAM, David S. WWI David was born in Beaver, Manitoba in 1894. He joined the Army and served with the 1st Platoon in Canada from 1915-1918. He was a farmer who married and had four children. David was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for twenty years before he passed away in 1974 and was buried in Quill Lake Cemetery.
