The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 127 GALBRAITH, Findlay S. WWII Findlay was born in Manitoba in 1917 but later moved to Quill Lake, Saskatchewan while in his teens. He served as a Corporal with the Royal Canadian Artillery Corps and the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in Canada and England from 19411946. He married and had two children. Findlay was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion in Ontario as well as the Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for sixty-three years. He passed away in 2009 and was buried in Ontario. GALBRAITH, John F. “Jack” WWII Jack was born in Manitoba on May 11, 1915 but came to Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in the 1930s. During World War II, he served as a Corporal in Canada and England with the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps. Jack married, had three children, and was a member of Quill Lake Legion Branch 37 for thirty-seven years. He passed away in 1983 and was buried in Saskatchewan’s Lloydminster Cemetery. GALBRAITH, William David WWII William was born in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan on October 7, 1913. He served as a Corporal with the Royal Canadian Artillery Corps, 14th Hussars, and with the 8th Canadian Reconnaissance Regiment in Canada, England, France and Belgium where he was killed in action on November 20, 1944. William is buried in Antwerp, Belgium. He was not married.
