The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 119 FISHER, John WWI & WWII John was born in 1893 in Harriston, Ontario. He joined the Army and served in France and Belgium during WWI. He also served in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan with the Veteran Guards of Canada during WWII. During his lifetime, John farmed, barbered, and was postmaster. He was a member of Shaunavon Legion Branch 40 for forty-seven years before he passed away in 1965. FITCH, Alfred Clifford WWI Alfred was born in the United States and came to live in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served with the 28th Battalion, Canadian Infantry during World War I. Clifford married Ellen Cunningham and they had seven children. He died in 1919. FITCH, Earl W. WWII Earl was born in North Dakota, USA in 1898 and came to Quill Lake, Saskatchewan in 1923. Corporal Fitch served as a heavy machine operator with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Canada and England from 1940-1945. He married and had five children. Earl died in 1981 and is buried in Quill Lake Cemetery in Saskatchewan.
