The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 111 ERICKSON, Elmer WWII Elmer was born in Clair-Scrip, Saskatchewan in 1917. He joined the Canadian Army and served between 1942 and 1945 in Canada and overseas where he was wounded in action in France. Elmer may have been a member of Rose Valley Canadian Legion Branch 214. He died in 1976 and was buried in Manitoba’s Flin-Flon Cemetery. ERICKSON, Erik WWII Erik was born in Clair (Scrip), Saskatchewan around 1916. He joined the Army and served as mechanic-driver with the Saskatchewan Horse Tank Regiment from 1940-1945 in Canada, England, and overseas. Erik was seriously wounded in France on D-Day and spent 8 months in an English hospital before returning to active service. Erik died in 1982 and is buried in Scrip-Ponass Lake Cemetery, north of Clair. ERICKSON, Ivan WWII Ivan was born in Clair (Scrip), Saskatchewan in 1918. He joined the Army and served as a Corporal with the 11th Canadian Infantry Brigade in Canada, England and Italy from 1941-1946. Ivan, married with three children, passed away and was buried in the Flin-Flon Cemetery in Manitoba.
