The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 87 CLENDENING, Tom K. WWII Tom was born on August 12, 1913 at Brack, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army in 1940 and served with the Artillery (RCA) at various locations in Canada and leaving the service as a Lieutenant. Tom is married. CLEVELAND, Ernest R. WWII Ernest was born on April 15, 1925 at Saskatoon and enlisted in the Army on June 4, 1943, serving in the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe. He left the service on March 18, 1946 as a Private. Ernest is married. COATES, Robert Allen WWII Robert was born in Leask, SK, on March 7, 1926. He joined the Army on Nov. 29, 1944. Bob was on a train being deployed to join the war when they got word the war was declared over. He returned to the base where he completed his training as a Driver Mechanic. In 1947 he finished a diesel mechanic course in Saskatoon, SK, where he also started flying lessons which was a life long passion of his. Bob worked as a journeyman mechanic in Leask and moved to Kindersley in the fall of 1953. Bob married Dorothy Jupe on April 17, 1954, and they raised four children: Sylvia, Donald, Patricia and Brian. Bob passed away on December 5, 1969. He had been a member of the Kindersley Legion #57 for 17 years. CLOSSEN, A. WWII A. Clossen was born on August 16, 1921 at Dube, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army on November 30, 1942, serving in the Artillery (RCA) in Canada, the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe. He left the service on February 15, 1946 as a Gunner. A. Clossen is married.
