The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 81 CLAPSON, Percival WWI Percy was born on March 14, 1889 in Derby, England, and was only 14 years old when he came to Canada by himself to work at sawmills and farming. He joined the Canadian Forces in 1916 at Prince Albert and went overseas. He was discharged in 1919 and married Ada Shannon, a nurse with the British Army. They came to Ridgedale to farm and raised two children. Ada nursed in the community. Percy passed away on May 22, 1977. CLARK, Maurice F. Royal Canadian Air Force Maurice was born on May 15, 1935 at St. George, New Brunswick. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on July 15, 1954, serving in Europe, Egypt and Israel. He left the service on January 15, 1991 as a Major. He received the Canadian Forces Decoration. Maurice is married. CLARKE, F.W. “Frank” WWII Frank was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, in 1922. He joined the RCSICS and served in England, North Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Korea, Egypt and the Congo. He passed away in 1984. CLARKE, Donald WWII Donald was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, in 1927. He joined the RC Signals serving in Canada, Germany and twice in Egypt. He received the Order of Military Merit.
