The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 69 CAMPBELL, Douglas M. WWII Douglas was born on May 30, 1921 at Moose Jaw. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on October 15, 1941 and served in Canada until he left the service on October 29, 1945 as a Corporal. Douglas is married. CAMPBELL, Jack WWII Jack was born in 1913 in the Harris District. He married Nellie Zalaski in 1941 and enlisted in the RCA in 1942 and went overseas and was discharged in 1946. He worked in Saskatoon as a mechanic for four years. Jack took up land in the Ravenhurst District, and in 1963 they sold the lease and moved to Arborfield, where their six children attended school. Jack and Nellie left Arborfield for Alberta in 1971. Both are now deceased and had belonged to the Arborfield Legion and Ladies Auxiliary. CAMPBELL, William Charles WWII William was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, in 1921 and farmed in Ethelton, Saskatchewan, until he retired in 1974 and moved to Melfort and worked as a clerk for an auctioneer, Bill Hodgkins, part time and for farmers during seeding and harvesting. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force Pathfinders and served in Great Britain. Bill passed away in 1993 and received the Distinguished Flying Medal and the Air Gunners Flying Badge. He was a member of the Melfort #30 Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion for 47 years. CAMPBELL, John William NAVY John was born on April 9, 1930 at Lumsden, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Navy in January 1950 and left the service on July 1, 1954 as a Petty Officer. John is married.
