He enlisted in the Army on January 25, 1944 and served in the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe and left the service on July 22, 1946 as a Corporal. Frederick is married. BAUMGARTNER, Raymond J. WWII Raymond was born in Luseland, Saskatchewan, on July 1, 1921. He joined the Princess Pats Canadian Light Infantry and served in Canada. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 61 years: first, at Branch #185 and then transferred to Branch #50. BEARDEN, Sydney Rutledge WWI Sydney was born in Kenlis, Saskatchewan, in 1899. He joined the 249th Battalion, 28th Overseas and served in France, Belgium and Germany, and was wounded at Mons and received the Mons Medal in 1948. He served in the Army of Occupation and returned home in June 1919. Sydney passed away in 1948 and was a member of the The Royal Canadian Legion Abernethy Branch #26. BAXTER, Joseph Howard Royal Canadian Air Force Howard was born on December 6, 1931 at Semans, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on November 15, 1949 in the Royal Canadian Air Force at Saskatoon for peacetime service and trained and served at several Canadian locations and with the NATO Forces in France in 1954-56. He left the service in 1976 at Debert, Nova Scotia, as a Major with 720 Communications Squadron after 27 years of service. He has served in the reserve forces since 1976. He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) and Bar. Howard is married with one daughter.
