The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 359 SCHOEPP, Ludwig WWII Ludwig was born on April 12, 1920. He joined the Canadian Navy in May 1941, and was loaned to the Royal Navy and served in combined operations at Dieppe, North Africa, Sicily, Italy and the D-Day landings. When he was discharged in August 1945, he married Delmarie. Ludwig received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the 1939-45 Star, the Italy Star, the Defence Medal, the France/Germany Star, the African Star 7 Bar, and the 1939-45 War Medal. SCHOLZ, Walter WWII Walter joined the #2 CAUC on August 16, 1942 and served in Canada, receiving his discharge on March 13, 1944. Walter suffered a year of ill health before his discharge. He farmed and worked at the potash mine and married Rita and had three daughters. He retired in Langenburg. Walter received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-45 War Medal. SCHULTZ, Freddie KOREA Freddie joined the RCA and served in Canada and Korea. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Korean War Medal. SCHULTZ, Arthur WWII Arthur was born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan, on March 16, 1919. He joined the Winnipeg Light Infantry on June 8, 1942, serving in Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe, and was discharged on January 12, 1946. Arthur farmed after the war and married Rosie and had three children. He retired to Langenburg in 1977. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, and the 1939-45 War Medal.
