The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 29 BALDWIN, Stanley NAVY Stanley was born on April 23, 1932 in Winnipeg. He enlisted in the Navy and left the service as a Chief Petty Officer. Stanley is married. BARKER, Jack E. WWII Jack was born on April 12, 1918 at Turtleford, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army at Saskatoon on June 3, 1941 and served in Northwest Europe in the Army Service Corps (RCASC) and left the service at Regina on March 4, 1946 as a Private. Married with one son, he became a painter after the war and served in the reserve force and was active with Elmwood Residences Inc. and Cosmopolitan Industries in Saskatoon. BARLOW, Jack WWII Jack was born in Balington, England in 1905. He came to Canada at age 26 and joined the Canadian Army, serving in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. In Holland, he guarded the POWs until the war was over and later joined to fight the Japanese and then came back to Canada and was discharged in 1945. He received the War Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the France/Germany Star. Jack passed away in 1974. BARLOW, Frederick W. WWII Frederick was born in Lancer, Saskatchewan on November 21, 1924. He joined the Army at age 15 in 1942 and served in Canada for two years. In May of 1944, he served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe and came home to Canada in 1946 with the Regina Rifles to the 12th District Depot and was discharged on February 9, 1946. He received the War Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, the 1939-45 Star, the France/Germany Star, and the Defence of Britain Medal. He has been a member of Branch #56 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 57 years.
