The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 27 BADGER, George W. WWII George was born on November 3, 1917 at Asquith, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on September 16, 1940 in the Navy and served as a writer in Canada and the United Kingdom. He left the service on September 1, 1946 at Winnipeg as a Leading Writer. Married with one son and one daughter, he studied pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan and at the time that this book was prepared, he was still practicing as a pharmacist. BAKER, Danny R. NAVY Danny was born on May 27, 1949 at Grand Prairie, Alberta. He enlisted in September 1967 and left the service in February 1968 as an Ordinary Seaman. Danny is married. BALDWIN, A. WWII A. Baldwin was born on August 14, 1919 at Miniota, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Army in April 1941, served in Canada and Europe with the Armoured Corps (FGH), and left the service in December 1945 as a Trooper. A. Baldwin is married. BAKER, Norman WWII Norman, son of Herb and Olive Baker, was born in the Parkman District of Saskatchewan. He joined the Army and served overseas. Upon returning home, he married and took over his Dad’s farm, but times were tough so he and his small family moved to Wawota and Norman worked for area farmers. They then moved to Ladysmith, British Columbia, where he worked as a night watchman for many years. Norman is now deceased.
