He received the Military Medal and several others. He passed away in 1978 and had been a member of the Balcarres Nutana Branch #362 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 35 years. MORRISON, John Duncan WWII John was born in Pelly, Saskatchewan, in 1925. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force at age 18, and was killed in a plane crash in 1943 during a training exercise in England. MORTON, Wilfred Harold WWII Wilfred was born in Saskatchewan on August 10, 1922. He enlisted with the Armoured Tank Corps on December 1, 1943, serving in Canada, and was discharged on April 9, 1946. He was a very active member of the Silton Canadian Legion Branch #33 for 48 years and received the Meritorious Award for all his dedicated work. He passed away on September 10, 2000. MORTON, Orville Raymond WWII Orville was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, on September 29, 1925. He joined the Army in January 1943 and was a Lance Corporal Gunner receiving his discharge on February 28, 1946. He received the France/Germany Star and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Orville was employed with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool before and after joining the Army. He passed away on March 2, 1982.
