He enlisted on September 21, 1940 at Regina and served in the Army Service Corps (RCASC) in the United Kingdom, in the Dieppe Raid, Sicily, Italy and Northwest Europe. He left the service in October 1945 at Regina as a Private. Married with two sons and one daughter, he worked in sales for Eaton’s, a brewery and Air Canada. ARMSTRONG, F. R. WWII F. R. Armstrong was born on January 16, 1919 in Regina. He enlisted in April 1942, serving with the 14th Field Ambulance (RCAMC) in Canada and overseas. Married, he left the service in 1945 as a Private. ASTIN, Harold WWI Harold was born in Todmorden, County of York, England in 1899. He joined the Navy, serving on HMS Valiant and HMS Sturgeon in the Grand Fleet Battle of Jutland on May 31, 1916. He received the WWI Service Medal. Harold passed away in 1967 and was a member of the Bethune Branch #304 of The Royal Canadian Legion. ARSENAULT, H. J. WWII H. J. Arsenault was born on July 4, 1920 at Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Army in December 1942 and served with the Army Engineers (RCE) and the Royal Canadian Regiment in the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe. He left the service in October 1945 as a Private.
