The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 231 LARRY, Randal Charles WWII Randal joined the Lake Superior Regiment and served overseas. He passed away in 1958. LAUBE, Herbert Edward WWII Herbert was born in Springside, Saskatchewan, on April 29, 1922. He served with the Prince Albert Volunteers in Canada and was discharged on October 6, 1945. Herb married Marjorie Violet Jenkins on October 14, 1944 and took up farming after his discharge. He raised two sons and two daughters. He was always active in the community and served as councillor for R.M. of Orkney for 38 years and was a part time game warden for a number of years. Herbert was the oldest son of Otto and Elizabeth Laube. He passed away on June 2, 2002. LAWRENCE, Marshall Jay WWII Marshall was born in Toronto, Ontario, in 1921 and joined the Army serving in England, Africa, Holland and Italy. He has been a member of the Kinistino Branch of The Royal Canadian Legion for 64 years. LAUBE, Lyndon Ivan Blair PEACETIME Lyndon was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, on January 15, 1964, the youngest son of Herb and Marjorie Laube. He joined the Army on May 16, 1985 and served as a Field Engineer in Germany for four years with the rank of Sergeant and six months peacekeeping in Croatia and returned to Canada on April 23, 1993. He served another six months in Bosnia from 1995-1996 and then transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force and took a paramedic and firefighter course in 1999 and was discharged in 2006. Lyndon married Holly Kriege of Pembroke, Ontario, on April 11, 1990 and they have a son and a daughter. Lyndon and his men were the first to open the airport in Sarajevo.
