He enlisted in the Army on October 10, 1944 and served in the Army Engineers (RCE) and left the service in March 1946 as a Sapper. O. L. Anderson is married. ANDERSON, Oscar M. WWII Oscar was born on June 29, 1912 at Stellina, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in April 1942 and served as a trainer in radar work on a Royal Air Force base in Ireland and left the service in January 1946 at Winnipeg as Flight Sergeant. Married with five sons and six daughters, he took the Master of Science degree in agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan after the war and worked with Veterans Land Administration at Yorkton, Prince Albert and Saskatoon. He was also a member of the Agriculture Institute of Canada, the Lions Club and active in his church and in museum work, curling, golf and skating. ARMSTRONG, Bernie WWII Bernie was born on June 29, 1924 at Hanley, Saskatchewan. He enlisted on June 3, 1942 in the Army and served overseas with the Signal Corps (RCCS) and left the service on April 1, 1946 as Sergeant. Married, he joined The Legion in Montreal and transferred to the Nutana Branch in 1992 and is a Life Member of The Legion. ANDREWS, Ray W. ARMY Ray was born at Holdin, Alberta, and enlisted in the Army on April 17, 1945 and served with the PPCLI and left the service on January 3, 1972 as a Master Warrant Officer. Married with one son, he was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) and Bar, and in 1995, he became treasurer of the Nutana Branch #362 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
