The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 225 KRUGER, Herman WWII Herman joined the Army, was a member of the Smeaton Legion, and passed away in 1987. LaBELLE, Albert WWII Albert was born on November 28, 1919 to Joseph and Ida. He helped his parents in their grocery store before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force and going overseas and coming back in April 1946 and married Gertrude Verstraeten. In 1950, they purchased a grocery store in White Fox, where they lived and raised three children. They ran the store until 1977 and belonged to the White Fox Legion and Legion auxiliary. He passed away on August 22, 2009. He was also a member of the Nipawin Legion. LAMBERTY, Clarence Floyd WWII Clarence was born in Algona, Iowa, USA, on March 10, 1903. The family moved to Eastend in 1916. He joined the Army in 1942 as a blacksmith and was discharged in 1944. Clarence married Mable and they raised four children. He moved his family to White Fox, where he retired. He passed away on November 6, 1969. LaDUKE, Franklin WWII Franklin was born to Mary and James at Muenster, Saskatchewan. James passed away so Mary moved her family of six to the White Fox area. The boys did mixed-farming and custom wood sawing and some took up homesteads. Franklin joined the Royal Canadian Engineers and when he returned from overseas, he did some trucking and then moved to Calgary to work for the CPR. He married Linda Carans and raised one son.
