The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 191 HILDEBRAND, Joseph Nolan AFGHANISTAN Joseph was born in Central Butte, Saskatchewan, in 1989 and joined the 3 PPCLI (OMLT) and served in Arghandab, Afghanistan. HILDEBRANDT, Herbert H. WWII Herbert enlisted on November 5, 1942 and served on the Pacific Coast and the Aleutian Islands and was discharged on September 22, 1945. Herbert returned home to farm after the war and married Alvina and had two sons. He passed away on February 20, 1982 at Langenburg, Saskatchewan. HINCHLIFF, Lyle Keith WWII Lyle was born near Ruthilda, Saskatchewan, on May 14, 1924. He enlisted in the Air Force on July 23, 1943 as a LAC Mechanic, serving in Canada. He was discharged on April 26, 1946 and operated his own garage and welding shop. Lyle passed away on October 25, 2008 and was a Life Member of the Herschel Branch #007 of The Royal Canadian Legion. HINCHLIFF, Frances Catherine WWII Frances was born in Saskatchewan on March 7, 1922. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on December 1, 1942 and took her basic training at Rockcliffe, Ontario, and nurse training at St. Thomas, Ontario, and served # 7 SFTS Ft MacLeod, Alberta, and # 2 FIS (3), Pearce, Alberta, and was discharged on January 11, 1945. She married Aubrey Wood in 1944 and they had eight children. She has been a member of the Herschel Branch #007 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 10 years.
