The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 13 ALBRECHT, A. WWII A. Albrecht was born on July 4, 1916 at Holden, Alberta. He enlisted in the Army in September 1941 and served with ordnance (RCOC) in Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe and left the service in January, 1946 as a Private. ALEXANDER, Percy H. WWII Percy was born on July 22, 1923 at Cutknife, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on March 27, 1942 and served in Canada and the United Kingdom. ALLAN, R. K. WWII R. K. Allan enlisted in the Army on September 8, 1939 and served in Canada and Europe with the Saskatoon Light Infantry (SLI) and left the service on July 24, 1945 as Sergeant and was a Life Member of The Legion. ALEXSON, John “Blackie” WWII Johnny was born on May 28, 1921 on a prairie farm. He enlisted in the Army in November 1941 at Saskatoon and served with the Army Engineers (RCE) in the United Kingdom, Italy and Northwest Europe and left the service in February 1946 at Regina as a Corporal. Married with three sons, he worked after the war on a farm for a time, then in the Post Office and later with BC Packers. He was active in baseball, curling, football and hockey, and served four years as first vice-president of The Legion Branch at Quill Lake, Saskatchewan and as Sergeant-at-Arms for ten years.
