The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 119 DAVIS, Arthur H. WWII Arthur was born on June 15, 1923 at Edenwold, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on November 10, 1942 at Regina and served in the United Kingdom with Squadron 625 in 1 Group of the RAF and left the Royal Canadian Air Force at Moncton, New Brunswick, on September 14, 1945 as a Flying Officer. Married with two sons and one daughter, Arthur worked with an electric motor service after the war and with the Veterans Land Act administration, also with the Prairie Flying Service and Saskatchewan Government Air Ambulance. He lives at Candle Lake, Saskatchewan. DAVIS, Eddie WWII Eddie enlisted on June 18, 1943 and did guard duty in Canada and was discharged on May 24, 1945 and retired to Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and is a member of the Langenburg Branch #250 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 41 years. DAVIS, Samuel Norman WWII Samuel was born in Liverpool, England, in 1915 and came to Canada with his parents settling in Elkhorn, Manitoba. He married Irene Kingdon and raised three children: Lyle, Norma and Jim. In September 1939, he enlisted with the Army Corps in Regina and left for England in 1940. He returned home in June 1945 and worked for the wheat pool elevators in Atwater and then Welwyn, Saskatchewan. In 1970, due to ill health, he retired to Regina and became a member of the Corps of Commissionaires, where he worked until his sudden passing in 1973. He was a member of the Welwyn Branch #112 of The Royal Canadian Legion. DAVIS, Roy WWII Roy joined the Regiment #12 Service Depot Particulars of Service on March 5, 1945 and was discharged on September 5, 1945 and retired in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. He received the 1939-45 War Medal. He is a member of the Langenburg Branch #250 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
