The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 115 DAVIES, J. Royal Canadian Air Force J. Davies was born on December 29, 1927 in Wales. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Canada. He left the service in 1953. He is married. DAVIES, Larry KOREA and PEACETIME Larry was born on a farm near Fife Lake, Saskatchewan, on August 31, 1934. He enlisted in the PPCLI on October 11, 1951 and remained with them for twenty years. He did tours of duty in Egypt, Cyprus and Germany. Larry now resides in Victoria, British Columbia, and has been a member of the Prince Edward Branch #91 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 37 years. DAVIES, Robert Gilmore “Bob” WWII Robert was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan, in 1915. He joined the Army, serving in Northern Alberta transporting military equipment and goods. He passed away in 1997 and was a member of the Leduc Alberta Royal Canadian Legion. DAVIES, Leonard Owen WWII Leonard was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan, in 1912. He joined the South Saskatchewan Regiment (SSR) and served in England and France. He was killed in action on August 19, 1942. He was involved in the Dieppe Raid and was last seen volunteering to push off a reserve craft. Leonard is buried in Belgium.
