The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 79 CULBERTSON, Albert Peacetime Albert joined the Army in 1959 and took basic training in Wainwright, Alberta. As part of the NATO forces, spent three years in Germany. He returned to Victoria, B.C. in October of 1963. In 1965 he went to Cyprus as a UN Peacekeeper. He was assigned to Camp Borden in Ontario and worked with the combat school at Borden & Medford until discharged in March of 1969. He received Service Medal with NATO Bar, Canadian Peacekeeping Medal & UN Medal for Cyprus. CURRIE, Colin Archibald Bruce Korea Colin was born on August 8, 1933 in Davidson, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers and served in Canada. Colin passed away on June 21, 1985. CURRIE, Erle Douglas WWII Erle was born on April 6, 1919 in Penzance, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on July 19, 1940 and was going for Air Crew. When this did not work out he was offered Ground Crew or discharge. He took his discharge and enlisted with the Army on December 13, 1941. He served with the 2nd Heavy A.A. Regiment in Canada, the United Kingdom, and North West Europe until his discharge. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. Erle passed away on October 16, 1999. CURRIE, Donald Laird WWII Donald was born on January 23, 1922 in Penzance, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in October of 1940 as a Dispatch Rider and served in Canada and England until he was injured and then was assigned to other duties until his discharge on August 28, 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Penzance Branch. Donald passed away on June 2, 1972.
