The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 45 BONDERUD, Harold Lyle WWII Harold was born on August 25, 1925 in Leroy, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service on November 3, 1943 at the age of 18. He departed for England in December of 1944. He served in Continental Europe with #33 Transport Coy, 2nd Corps, transferring to occupation forces with #2 Motor Ambulance Coy, 3rd Division. He later transferred to 16th Canadian General Hospital Transport Sec. He returned to Canada in April of 1946. He was a member of The RCL Leroy Branch #309, serving in different positions, finally as President. Harold passed away in January of 2005. BOOK, Marvin Reginald WWII Marvin was born in 1917 in Detroit, Michigan. He enlisted with the Army and served with the I.C.A.S.C.R.U. in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He received the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal, War Medal 1939-45, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Biggar Branch #138 for 27 years. Marvin passed away in 2005. BOURGON, Clifford Allan Peacetime Clifford was born on September 7, 1937 in Dumas, SK. In 1955 he joined the Armed Forces and was stationed for most of his Army time in Germany with the 1st Battalion P.P.C.L.I. While in the forces he took up running and boxing. On his discharge he returned home working on different farms and marrying. In 1960 he took over the home farm from his dad and has farmed ever since. Cliff and his wife Marilyn have 4 children. He has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Wawota Branch #113 for 35 years. BOOTHMAN, Lawrence WWII Lawrence was born in 1925 in Moose Jaw, SK. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada during the war. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the War Medal 1939-45 for his service.
