He enlisted with the Army on January 30, 1940 and served in Canada, the UK and Continental Europe until his discharge on August 7, 1946. He enlisted with the Army again on August 22, 1950 and served in Korea until his discharge on September 13, 1955. He received the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, Korean Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. Amedee is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Duck Lake Branch. RANGER, Jean Baptiste WWI Jean was born on June 23, 1884 in St. Boniface, MB. He enlisted with the Army in 1914 and served in England, France, and Germany until his discharge in 1918. He received The British Medal War Medal, The Victory Medal, and the Medaille Militaire. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Duck Lake Branch. Jean passed away in1963. RASMUSSON, Clayton WWII Clayton enlisted in the Army in June 1941 with the 18th Manitoba Reconnaissance Battalion. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He received the 1939-1945 Star, the France & Germany Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. RANGER, Orville Lawrence WWII Orville was born in 1917 in Empress, AB and grew up on a farm near Leask, SK. He graduated from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan in 1942. That same year he was sent overseas as an Officer in the Army. He served in England, France, Holland and Belgium. He returned home in 1946 and resumed his career as a pharmacist working in Humboldt, Watson and Saskatoon until his retirement in 1974. In 1995 he married Olga (Prosko). Orville passed away in 2003.
