The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 269 PROSKO, Peter Paul WWII Peter was born in 1921 in Watson, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 as an Airframe Mechanic. He was stationed in Regina, SK, Lachine, QC, St. Thomas, ON and Souris, MB. For a short period of time after the war ended, he went to Moose Jaw, SK where he was discharged in 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Watson Branch #272 for 25 years. Peter passed away in 1983. PROSSER, John Burton WWII John was born in 1915 in Piapot, SK. He enlisted with the Army and served in England until his discharge. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Loon Lake and Kyle Branches. John passed away in 1998. PURSE, Jack WWII Jack was born on September 24,1922. In 1940, he enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy. He went overseas on December 7, 194l and served on the British ship H.M.S. Poole, 8th Army Sweepers, R.N. He was in the Mediterranean Sea, Africa, Suez Canal, Persian Gulf and India. He was wounded in Madagascar. He returned to Canada and was discharged in 1945. PRYHITKO, Bill “Willie” WWII Wilie joined the Royal Canadian Army 1942 and took his basic training in Regina. He was sent to Chilliwack for advanced training with the Royal Canadian Engineers. He was discharged in July of 1945. Willie received the War Medal (1939-45) and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal.
