She enlisted with the W.R.C.N.S. and served in Canada until the end of the war. She received the 1939-45 War Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. Gertrude has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ladiesʼ Auxiliary for 50 years. PRATT, Harvey Edward WWII Harvey was born in 1908 in Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army during WWII. He received the 1939-45 Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, 1939-45 Defense Medal, 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star and the Italy Star. Harvey passed away in 1971. PROSKO, Emil WWII Emil was born on August 22, 1921 in Watson, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in October of 1942 and served as an Air Force Mechanic in Canada. After the war, he joined The Royal Canadian Legion Watson #272 Branch. He held several executive offices and was presented with a Life Membership in 1998. Emil passed away on August 22, 2000. PRICE, Irvin L. WWII Irvin was born in 1911 in Abernethy, SK. He joined the Army in Regina in 1940. He trained in Canada and England. He saw active duty in Sicily, Italy, Germany, France, and Belgium and served with 14th Field Company, RCE. His unit built bailey Bridges and repaired roads. In Belgium he injured his knee while playing football. He returned to England for Surgery and was then sent home in July of 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Abernethy Branch #26 for 53 years. Irvin passed away in 2001.
