The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 255 PECK, Edward J. Peacetime Edward was born in 1951 in Balcarres, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1969 and received his basic training in Cornwallis, ON. He spent 1 year on HMCS Gatineau and then onto HMCS Provider in Esquimalt. His tour of duty took him to California, Sidney, Australia, Christ Church, New Zealand, Island of Tonga & the Hawaiian Islands. He retired from the Navy in 1973 and returned to civilian life. Edward passed away in 2003 in Nanaimo, BC. PECK, Ron A. Peacetime Ron was born in 1941 in Abernethy, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1963 on the HMCS Queen in Regina, SK. He transferred to RCAF St. Jean, Quebec training Depot in 1967. He followed his career with the Royal Canadian Air Force in law Enforcement in St. Jean and went onto Comox, BC. He served in Nuclear Security where he was promoted to Corporal. He left the Air Force in 1971. Ron currently resides in Surrey, BC. PENNY, John A. “Jack” WWII Jack was born in 1926 in Abernethy, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served with Medical in Canada and France until his discharge. He received the CM for his service. Jack is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion High River Alberta Branch. PELLETIER, Marius WWII Marius was born in 1921 in Duck Lake, SK. He enlisted with the Army and served in Canada until his discharge. He received the 1939-45 War Medal for his service. Marius passed away in 1959.
