The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 247 OWCHAR, Paul Harry WWII Paul joined the Army April 30, 1941 and served overseas in the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe until he was discharged on December 8, 1945. PAGE, Frederick Arthur WWII Frederick was born in 1924 in Abernethy, SK. He served on Active Service with the Royal Canadian Navy aboard the H.M.C.S. Queen Regina from 1943 until 1945. He received the War Medal 1939-45 and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was a Lifelong member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 61 years. Frederick passed away in 2006. PALUCK, Mike WWII Mike joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1943 and trained in radar construction maintenance. He was stationed in Prince George, BC and patrolled the north with the Radar #9RCMV. Mike was discharged in 1945. PAGE, William WWII William was born in 1921 in Abernethy, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1941 and arrived overseas in England in August of 1942. He served on Active Service with 1st Canadian Army, 4th Division R.C.E.M.E. He was wounded in 1943. After his recovery, he was reassigned to the 3rd Division. In June of 1944, he arrived in the European Theatre. He took part in the liberation of Holland. He received the C.V.S.M. and Clasp, 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal, War Medal 1939-45. He was a member of The RCL. William passed away in 1989.
