The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 243 NYREROD, William “Bill” WWII William joined the Army in 1942. After the war he worked on the railroad and as trucker. He is currently retired and living in Calgary. NYSTROM, Birtle WWII Birtle joined the Army with the 73 Bty, 5th Field Reg. RCA, 2 Div in 1941 and served overseas in England, France, Holland and Belgium. He was wounded and spent time in hospital in England. He returned home in 1945 and was discharged. OGLOFF, George W. WWII George joined the Westminster Regiment. He was killed in action on April 15, 1944 and is buried at Cassino War cemetery, Frosinoe, Italy. He was the son of Wasily Ogloff. Memorial: Ogloff Bay in Finlayson Lake. OʼBRIEN, Wilfred D. WWII & Special Duty Wilfred was born in 1927 in Westville, NS. He served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Canada, Korea, and Cypress. Wilfred has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59 for 29 years.
