The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 189 LEGEBOKOFF, William WWII William joined the Canadian Forces in 1940. After a year of training in Canada, he went overseas and served in France, Germany, Holland and Belgium. He returned to Canada 1945 and was discharged. He received the 1939-45 Star, the France & Germany Star, The Defense Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Bar and the War Medal. LEMMONS, Howard WWII Howard enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army and was stationed in Chiliwack, B.C. LEOPPKY, Norman WWII Norman joined the Navy in February of 1942 and served as Ordinary Leading Gunner in Africa, India, Australia, and the Philippines. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, Africa Star, Pacific Star, India Star, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was discharged in November of 1945. Norman joined the Pelly legion in 1982. LENNOX, John D. WWII John was born in 1904 in Toronto, ON. He joined the Royal Canadian Service Corps in December 1941. He reported to the Base in Regina in January of 1942 and trained for a little while before being transferred to Camp Borden for basic training. He was sent overseas and served in England until January of 1943. He was then sent to Scotland where he took a Motor Mechanics Course; he then returned to England and worked in the post office until returning to Canada in February 1945. He received his discharge on March 28, 1945. John passed away on January 9, 1962.
