The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 181 KUZMIN, John WWII John joined the Armed Forces in 1941and was sent overseas and saw action in many war zones. KUZNIAR, Bruno WWII Bruno was born on October 12, 1920 in Sichow, Poland. He immigrated to Canada with his family and they settled in Saskatchewan. He volunteered his service to the Army and was part of the Regina Rifles. He served in Canada, England and North Africa before he was badly wounded in Italy. Upon his recovery he returned to Canada and began farming. He was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Snowden Branch #205 for 45 years and never missed a Remembrance Day Ceremony. Bruno passed away on May 26, 1968. KYLE, Norman Edward WWII Norman was born in 1924 in Assiniboia, SK. He served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada. He received the Pilotʼs Flying Badge for his service. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Assiniboia Branch #17 for 55 years. Norman passed away in 2005. KUZNIAR, Stanley William WWII Stanley was born on April 23, 1918 in Sichow, Poland. He immigrated to Canada with his family and they settled in Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Artillery on December 26, 1942. He served with the 4th Division, 83rd Battery, 23rd Regiment and went overseas on June 23. While stationed in Holland, he met and married Lily, a Dutch Red Cross nurse, on December 28, 1945. He received his discharge on March 16, 1946 and returned home. He was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion Snowden Branch for 48 years. Stanley passed away on February 11, 1997.
