The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 113 FIELDS, Patrick WWII Patrick joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in the early 1940ʼs and served until he was discharged in 1945. He joined the Pelly Legion and later moved to Manitoba. Patrick passed away July 13, 2003. FISHER, Joseph WWI & WWII Joseph was born in 1893 in Michel, NWT. He served with the 5th Canadian Infantry Battalion in France. He received the Distinguished Conduct Medal “For showing conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in charge of a platoon” and the Military Medal for “showing great courage and gallantry”. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Duck Lake Branch. Joseph passed away in 1962. FISSEL, Joe WWII Joe joined the Army in 1942 in Vancouver. During his medical it was determined that he had a heart murmur, so he was not sent overseas. He did his basic training in Vernon, B.C. and was stationed in Calgary, Alberta and worked as a mechanic as part of the C.I.T.C. Regiment. He was discharged from the Army March 19, 1946. FISSEL, Frank W. WWII Frank joined the Army on January 12, 1943 in Regina with the Edmonton Fusiliers. He served overseas with Regina Rifles regiment in Belgium and Holland. He was discharged March 11, 1946 with the France and Germany Star. He was member of The Royal Canadian Legion No. 88, Maple Ridge, BC.
