The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 101 DOUCETTE, Leonard WWII Leonard was born in 1925 in Duck Lake, SK. He enlisted with the Army and served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe until his discharge. He received the 1939-45 War Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and the Defense Medal for his service. Leonard is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Duck Lake Branch #246. DOUGHTY, Arthur WWII Arthur joined the force in 1940 with the Regina Rifles and went overseas and served in many theatres of war. He was wounded in France on D-day. He returned to Canada in 1945 and was discharged he was later joined by his war bride. Both are now deceased. DOUGHTY, Ross WWII Ross joined the 53rd Battery Artillery in 1939 in Toronto, they were the second Canadian Troop to be sent to Britain in WW2. He served in many theatres of war and returned to Canada in 1945 and was discharged from his service. DOUGHTY, Robert William Gordon Peacekeeping Robert was born in 1938 in Pelly, but moved to Lethbridge in 1940 and attended L.C.I. High School. He joined the Armed Forces in 1955 and served in the Lord Strathconas & did a tour of the Middle East as a peacekeeper. He married in 1961 and has a daughter & 2 sons. He worked in the transportation after discharge with Canadian Freightways & International Transport. He was a member of Corps of Commissionaires in 1984 with the rank of R.S.M. Robert passed away in 1992 and is buried in the Field of Honour Queenʼs park Cemetery, Calgary, Alberta.
