FIELDS, Earl WWII Earl was born in 1915 in Michigan. He moved with his family in 1930 to homestead in Clashmoor, SK. He enlisted with the Army Infantry in June of 1941. He was transferred to the R.C.E.M.E. as a Motor Vehicle Fitter and served in Canada and England until his discharge on February 12, 1946. After the war he married and ran the post office and filling station in Clashmoor. Earl is deceased. FIELDS, Ross WWII Ross was born in 1917 in Michigan. He moved with his family in 1930 to homestead in Clashmoor, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on April 10, 1941. He served as a Wireless Air Gunner in Canada, England, Midway, and the Aleutians. Ross was missing in action on February 25, 1945 when his Halifax Bomber was shot down over Norway. He is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial near London, England for Airmen who died with no known grave. FIELDS, Walter WWII Walter was born in 1903 in Michigan. The family moved to Chaplin, SK in 1919. He later moved with his family in 1930 to homestead in Clashmoor, SK. He enlisted with the Army on September 10, 1939. He served as a Machine Gunner with S.L.I. in Canada, England, Sicily, and Italy until his discharge on July 20, 1945. Walter passed away in 1976. FINNIMORE, Wilfred “Finn” WWI Finn enlisted with the Armed Forces during the war. He served in England until his discharge. He came to Canada in 1918 from Cornwall, England. He came to the Arborfield District in the early 1920ʼs and sheared sheep before getting into the meat business. He was a member of the Arborfield Branch #203 British Empire Service League since 1936. Finn passed away in March of 1952. No Photo FINNUK, Metro WWII Metro enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army and served in Canada during the Second World War. He was a member of the Mazzepa Legion Branch #183. He was Sergeant at Arms for over 40 years. He was the President and Vice President for several years.
