DUTTON, Ivy WWII Ivy was born in 1921 in England and came with her family to the Addington District in 1923. She enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force on February 24, 1941. She served in Canada until her discharge on November 20, 1945. She married Pete Dyck and raised a family. She joined the Ladyʼs Auxiliary as well as The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Branch #203. Ivy passed away in 1992. DYCK, Deidrick WWII Deidrick came to the Arborfield area with his family in 1931. He enlisted with the Army on March 11, 1943. He served with the South Saskatchewan Regiment in Canada, England, France, and Belgium until his discharge on February 6, 1945. DYCK, Jake WWII Jake came to the Arborfield area with his family in 1931. He enlisted with the Army on July 9, 1941. He served with the R.C.E.M.E. in Canada, France, and Belgium until his discharge on April 26, 1946. DYCK, Peter WWII Peter was born on June 17, 1920 in Aberdeen, SK. He came to the Arborfield area with his family in 1931. He enlisted with the 1st Canadian Armored Corps on July 16, 1941. He was transferred to Ordinance Corps and served in Canada, England, Italy, France, Belgium, and Holland until his discharge. He received the following medals: Stars of Italy, France, and Germany, Defense Medal, King George and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He joined the Arborfield Legion Branch #203 on September 12th, 1960. Peter passed away on July 26, 1981. EARL, Bruce Rupert WWII Bruce joined the Army on November 8, 1941. He served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, 1st Division in England, Sicily, France, Holland, and Belgium until his discharge on November 29, 1945. He received the Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp, the Italy Star, the France-Germany Star. He was discharged on November 29th, 1945 and returned to civilian life.
