DODD, Gordon Agnar “Gord” WWII Gord was born in 1924 in Brandon, MB. He enlisted in the regular army in North Battleford, SK in November 1943 and was sent to Regina then To Shilo, Manitoba for training as a Forward Observation Post Signaler. He served in England, France, Belgium, and Holland with the 15th Regiment, RCA, 4th Canadian Armoured Division. Gord was sent back to Canada and was taking a break before going to the US to train for the invasion of Japan. He has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Moose Jaw Branch #59 for over 50 years. Gord currently resides in Moose Jaw, SK. and has four children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. DOUGLAS, William WWII William was born on July 2, 1925 in Indian Head, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in June of 1943. He took his training as a Wireless Air Gunner and received his wings in 1944. His first posting was Malton, Ontario where he helped train navigators.He was finally moved to Comox, BC where he commenced Operational Training. He served in Canada and was sent overseas to England where he joined the 436 Transport Squadron until his discharge. William was awarded a Life Membership for his service as President and Secretary of the Lacadena Branch #370 of The Royal Canadian Legion. DOWNS, Arthur WWII Arthur enlisted with the R.C.N.V.R. on January 6, 1940. He served at the Royal Roads Navy College in Esquimault until his discharge on July 26, 1945. DRIVER, Albert WWI Albert was born in 1890 in England. He enlisted with the Army during WWI, and was wounded in battle. He lived in Lockwood, SK before moving to the Megan area to homestead. Albert passed away in 1949 and is buried in the Jordan River Cemetery. No Photo DUBOIS, Albert WWII Albert was born on April 9, 1911 near Zenon Park, SK. He enlisted with the Army CACRU as Orderly on June 9, 1944. He served in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and with the Occupational Forces in Germany until his discharge on May 28, 1946.
