DELAGE, Aimee WWII Aimee was born on October 4, 1921 in Arborfield, SK. He enlisted with R.C.N. on December 1, 1942 and served on the High Seas until his discharge on September 27, 1945. Aimee passed away on September 3, 2007. DENESIK, Mike WWII Mike was born near Insinger, SK and grew up on the family farm. He enlisted with the Army on November 25, 1942. He served in Canada, England, Holland and Germany until his discharge on March 29, 1946 with the rank of Private. After the war he did a lot of traveling and remained a bachelor until 1979. He married Mary Reber on May 12th, 1979 and they enjoyed traveling together. Mike currently resides in Sheho, SK. DENET, Carl J. NATO Carl was born in 1929 in Markinch, SK. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1952. He served with the 4th “F” Wing and 418th Squadron in Canada and Germany. The balance of his 10 years with the RCAF was spent with the 418 Squadron in Edmonton, which was responsible for training auxiliary personnel and search and rescue operations. In recognition of his service, Carl was awarded the Special Service Medal with NATO Bar. DERDALL, Orville Willis WWII Orville was born on July 19, 1922 in Outlook, SK. He enlisted with the R.C.A.F. in 1940 but later transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy. He served first on HMCS Collingwood for 2 years and then on HMCS Haida as a wireless telegrapher until the end of the war. He also served in Africa, England, Russia, and Normandy. After his discharge he took over his fatherʼs farm that he homesteaded in 1903. He and his wife Florence raised their three children there. Orville is a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #262, with 52 years of membership. DERMAN, Noreen WWII Noreen enlisted with the C.W.A.C. on January 6, 1942. She served as a Transport Driver in Canada and England until her discharge on May 6, 1946. The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 79
